Worker fell from height of 30 feet
One worker was seriously injured after falling from a height of 30 feet at Montreal's Olympic Stadium on Monday, according to reports.
The incident happened when the worker was working in an air duct at the sports venue, reported CTV News.
The Montreal Fire Department was called around 12:20 p.m. after calls were made to 911.
A Service de sécurité incendie de Montréal spokesperson said it was a "quick rescue" and the man was sent to hospital, according to CTV News.
The worker, a man in his 30s, was conscious when paramedics arrived. They say he suffered “traumatic injuries” from the fall, according to CityNews.
The Commission des normes, de l'équité, de la santé et de la sécurité du travail (CNESST) is investigating the incident.
A fire on March 21 caused serious water and smoke damage to the stadium, according to a previous CTV News report.
The fire is now the subject of an investigation by Montreal police's arson squad.
More than 275 crews are now involved in cleaning up parts of the building that were damaged and to carry out air quality tests, reported CTV News.
