J. J. Keller and ISEA launch joint survey to address PPE challenges

J. J. Keller & Associates, Inc., a provider of safety and compliance solutions, has partnered with the International Safety Equipment Association (ISEA) to launch a new survey aimed at understanding the challenges that Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) professionals face in managing personal protective equipment (PPE). The collaborative survey, titled the "PPE Pain Points Survey," invites safety professionals across various industries to share their experiences in PPE program development, purchasing, training, and ensuring proper PPE use.

The survey, now open until August 30, 2024, seeks to gather insights from EHS professionals who regularly encounter difficulties in sourcing and managing PPE. Participants will have the opportunity to enter a drawing for a $100 eGift card upon completion of the survey, encouraging widespread participation.

This marks the third year of the PPE Pain Points benchmarking study by the J. J. Keller Center for Market Insights and the first time ISEA has joined the effort. The collaboration aims to expand the reach and impact of the survey by leveraging ISEA’s expertise in standards development and its broad membership base.

“Our goal is to listen closely to the challenges professionals in industries such as transportation, manufacturing, and construction face daily to keep their teams safe,” says Susan Baranczyk, Head of Corporate Communications with J. J. Keller & Associates, Inc. “By collaborating with ISEA, we hope to amplify these insights and foster conversations that lead to practical solutions.”

ISEA President & CEO Cam Mackey emphasizes the importance of this partnership, stating, “as the voice of the safety equipment industry, ISEA is committed to addressing the real-world challenges that EHS professionals face. This survey will provide valuable insights that not only inform our standards development but also enhance the overall PPE purchasing process and the effective use of safety gear.”

The survey results will be shared widely, aiming to drive improvements in workplace safety and PPE management across multiple industries.
