18 people were at the location at the time of the incident, says report
At least one worker was injured following an industrial accident involving chemicals in Ontario.
The incident happened on Thursday at a Burlington warehouse, reported CTV News.
Burlington Fire was notified of the incident at 11:55 a.m. at a business in the Harvester Road area where the alarm went off.
One worker sustained serious injuries and was transported to hospital for treatment, according to the report.
However, the worker’s condition is not known as of the moment, according to CTV News.
Ontario’s Ministry of Labour has confirmed that it’s been notified of the chemical incident, according to a CP24 report. It is investigating what happened.
“A ministry inspector has been assigned,” a spokesperson wrote in an email to CP24. “As the ministry’s investigation is ongoing, we cannot provide further details at this time.
