Worker made contact with electrical wire, says report
One worker has died and another was injured in an industrial accident in Ontario on Friday, according to reports.
The incident occurred early Friday morning.
The victim — a man believed to be in his 30s — was working in a hydro vault near Queens Quay West and Rees Street when the incident took place shortly before 2 a.m.
According to CP24, the worker made contact with an electrical wire.
He was rushed to hospital with critical injuries but was later pronounced dead.
Another man was also taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the report.
Emergency crews responded to the scene.
The Ministry of Labour will be investigating the fatal incident, according to a CTV News report.
