Worker taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries
In Ontario, a Hydro One worker was injured as he was pinned between two vehicles following an incident at the workplace.
The incident happened late Tuesday afternoon, in the area of County Road 88 and Sideroad 10, according to a CTV News report.
The worker was pinned between a trailer and a vehicle as machinery was being off-loaded, according to reports, including ones from CTV News, Bradford Today and iHeart Radio.
The worker was a 31-year-old man, though his identity has not been made public. He was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Ontario’s Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development is investigating the incident.
According to a BNN report, the investigation’s primary objective is to ensure that workplace safety measures are being adhered to and to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
As part of the investigation, the ministry will scrutinize the worksite's safety protocols, equipment maintenance records, and employee training programs, according to the report.
