Worker's conditions has stabilized
One construction worker in Saskatchewan was seriously injured in a fall in the workplace.
The incident happened on Tuesday afternoon at 200 block of Pepper Court in Saskatoon.
A 36-year-old man fell from the second floor of a building under construction.
Saskatoon police responded to the industrial accident at the site that afternoon, following reports.
Medavie Health Services West transported the worker to the hospital. Police said his condition has since stabilized, according to CTV News.
The cause of the worker’s fall is yet to be determined.
The Saskatoon Police Service is investigating the incident.

Here are some things that workers can do to avoid falling in the workplace, according to the Canadian Centre of Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS):
- Take your time and pay attention to where you are going.
- Adjust your stride to a pace that is suitable for the walking surface and the tasks you are doing
- Walk with the feet pointed slightly outward.
- Make wide turns at corners.
