Event early August in Denver promises to be 'engaging and illuminating'
The American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) is gearing up for its highly anticipated Safety 2024 Professional Development Conference and Expo, set to be the largest in the Society’s history. The event will take place from August 7-9 at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver.
“Our expo is so engaging and illuminating that some safety and health professionals just come to the conference for that,” said ASSP president Jim Thornton. “It’s a remarkable space that showcases the latest personal protective equipment, product innovations and professional services that can advance occupational safety and health.”
Safety 2024 is on track to surpass the record set by Safety 2019 in New Orleans, which featured more than 600 vendors and covered nearly 120,000 square feet. With more than two months of preparation remaining, the upcoming expo promises to be even larger.
The largest exhibitors at Safety 2024 by floor space will include Ergodyne, ERGOMAT, Milwaukee Tool, SureWerx, Bulwark Protection, Applications International Corporation, GlenGuard, and Protective Industrial Products. Other notable exhibitors include Airgas, Grainger, Red Wing Brands of America, Superior Glove, and VelocityEHS.
An expanded ASSP Career Advancement Center will be a key feature of the expo, catering to all attendees, not just those seeking new positions. Additionally, the "Leaders in Safety Tech" area will highlight cutting-edge safety innovations. Three locations on the expo floor will host “flash sessions” that address safety challenges through research, best practices, and audience participation.
“Our interactive expo has always been a key element of the overall in-person experience,” Thornton said. “I truly believe it’s a can’t-miss opportunity for anyone whose responsibilities include worker safety and health.”
Now in its 63rd year, ASSP’s annual conference attracts thousands of safety and health professionals from around the globe, offering them opportunities to advance their careers and enhance workplace safety. The event will also feature popular general sessions designed to inspire, entertain, and inform attendees.
Safety professionals can register online for the conference and earn 1.5 continuing education units (CEUs) for career advancement.
