Occupational Health and Safety investigating 'industrial accident'

One worker died at a construction site in Alberta last week.
The incident happened on Wednesday at site near Turin, a hamlet in Lethbridge County about 150 kilometres southeast of Calgary, according to the Calgary Herald.
Police officers were called to an “industrial accident” at around 5:30 p.m., according to the report, citing the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP).
Details around what actually happened is scarce, but Alberta Jobs, Economy and Trade says the person was struck by an object, according to the Calgary Herald report.
“It is always tragic when a worker dies on the job,” read a statement from the Jobs, Economy and Trade released Friday, according to the report. “Our government’s goal is to have all workers go home healthy and safe after each workday.”
Occupational Health and Safety is investigating the incident. No further details are available as of writing of this story.
