Worker 'was not in an environment safe enough for paramedics to perform life-saving measures'
A 30-year-old man died in a workplace accident in Ontario last week, according to reports.
The incident happened on Thursday. Peel police said they were called to the scene of the accident in the area of Dundas Street E. and Wharton Way at around 3:50 pm.
“According to Peel paramedics, the man was not in an environment safe enough for paramedics to perform life-saving measures. High voltage in the area had to be turned off before paramedics could proceed, they said,” CBC reported.
The worker was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the report, citing paramedics.
However, CTV News reported that the worker was taken to a local trauma centre, where they were pronounced dead, citing the police.
The circumstances surrounding the incident are not immediately known, noted CTV News.
Police said they have notified the Ministry of Labour about the incident
