2 workers died in Ontario scaffolding collapse

Two workers died when a scaffolding collapsed at their workplace in Ontario, according to a report.

The incident happened on Thursday at a workplace on Mennonite Corners near Grey Road 18 in Georgian Bluffs, Ont.

The workers were inside a silo when a scaffold collapsed, CTV News reported, citing the Ontario Ministry of Labour.

The ministry has issued one requirement to the project owner and constructor, and eighth requirements to the employer. 

Details of those requirements were not released, according to the report.

"As the investigation is ongoing, we are unable to provide further details at this time," the ministry said in an email, according to CTV News.
