Two Hydro One workers were injured while working on a transmission tower, according to a report.

The incident happened on Thursday morning near Petersburg, Ont., just outside Kitchener, according to CTV News.

Emergency services were called to Notre Dame Drive and Snyders Road East, just outside of Petersburg, at around 11:10 am.

A male worker in his 30s, was airlifted to hospital with critical injuries as a result of a fall, Ornge told CTV News.

Another worker was also injured in the incident, according to the report.

“We are incredibly grateful to the crews and first responders who took immediate action and provided care for our teammates,” Hydro One said via email to CTV News.

The Ontario Ministry of Labour is investigating the incident.
