DORN Companies – a global provider of wellness-based workplace injury prevention, ergonomics and pain relief programs – has recently announced its strategic partnership with 3motionAI – a Toronto-based firm specializing in advanced AI-driven human motion analytics.

The collaboration represents a significant advancement in leveraging AI to analyze human movement and generate comprehensive insights into performance and biomechanical risk factors, according to DORN Companies.

“We are thrilled to partner with 3motionAI,” said Kevin Lombardo, DORN chairman and CEO. “Adding 3motionAI’s technology will allow our providers to identify individual task-related risks and implement corrective actions more quickly. It allows us to reach more people without adding significant time to the client’s engagement. The technology brings a common language that allows us to compare employee performance across multiple client sites and in multiple countries.”

The partnership will help address the issue of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) in the workplace, which remain a significant challenge for employers and their safety teams, said DORN.

The costs associated with MSDs, including workers’ compensation claims, treatments, lost workdays, and reduced productivity, exceed US$50 billion annually. Despite ongoing efforts to improve workplace safety, managing MSD-related injuries often relies on reactive strategies, addressing injuries after they occur and attempting to minimize costs through treatment and return-to-work solutions, noted DORN.

With 3motionAI as its preferred vendor of AI-based workplace safety solutions, DORN will utilize machine learning technology to analyze human movement data and produce comprehensive reports. Meanwhile, DORN will provide 3motionAI’s customers and partners with on-site and virtual injury prevention solutions globally.

“We chose to partner with DORN as they are innovators in injury prevention with a global reach,” said Reed Hanoun, founder and CEO of 3motionAI. “Their intervention and safety services complement our technology, helping users identify risks and implement changes effectively.”

By integrating 3motionAI’s analytics, computer vision, and AI platform into its employee assessment and risk evaluation programs, DORN will deliver risk management packages utilizing a proactive strategy to mitigate or eliminate risk at the source, preventing injuries before they occur.

This partnership removes the guesswork from risk analysis, enabling employers to identify real-time issues with body mechanics, awkward postures, and harmful repetitive motions – all key factors in costly MSD-related injuries, according to DORN.
