“We are currently facing uncertain economic times,” states Women’s Executive Network founder
Pamela Jeffery. “But at WXN, we are seeing that women remain committed to ongoing professional development and moving their careers forward – perhaps now more than ever. I believe this is partially due to the inspiration of the amazing women we are honouring today.”

Award winners and Hall of Fame inductees will also be honoured in their own communities of Vancouver (January 27), Calgary (February 3), and Montréal (February 19).

“WXN has been committed to professional development and celebrating Canada’s most  influential and powerful women leaders for more than 10 years, and Scotiabank is proud to continue its involvement with WXN and this career and community-building event,” says Sylvia Chrominska, group head, gobal human resources & communications, Scotiabank. “Scotiabank, too, is dedicated to giving women the opportunity to achieve their fullest potential. Participating in events like this allows them to grow, advance and celebrate their own success and that of their peers.”

“Ivey encourages women to pursue careers in business. With the increasing complexity of business requiring an approach that spans the enterprise, it’s important and exciting to celebrate the growing impact that these business leaders make every day at the most successful corporate, public and not-for-profit organizations in this country. These women are role models for us all,” said Larry Wynant, acting dean, Richard Ivey School of Business.
