The Alberta government is seeking public input on the effectiveness of Disability Related Employment Supports (DRES) to better meet Alberta's skill shortages by assisting people with disabilities to find and maintain employment.
DRES provides funding to people with disabilities to pay for costs incurred for assistive technology, equipment and services to help pursue education or training, job search and workplace goals.
This survey is one part of the research to determine the future direction of DRES. Earlier this spring, Alberta Employment and Immigration conducted meetings and interviews with stakeholders, including employers, colleges and universities, agencies serving persons with disabilities and government staff.
Public input will help determine how to make DRES even more effective and efficient.
