Another worker suffers life-threatening injuries after electrocution
An Ontario Provincial Police officer was injured and airlifted to hospital following an incident last Sunday morning.
The incident happened just before 9am when a suspected stolen pickup truck struck a police cruiser during a traffic stop on Highway 401 at the Lancaster, Ontario, eastbound exit off-ramp, reported Ottawa Citizen, citing the police.
The officer had attempted to stop the driver of the truck. The truck, however, then rammed into the police vehicle, causing it to roll off the road and into the culvert, police said.

The officer was taken to an Ottawa hospital via Ornge air ambulance with serious but not life-threatening injuries, the OPP said, according to the report.
On Sunday night, the OPP said they were seeking assistance in finding the driver of a newer grey Hyundai Elantra with Quebec plates that was in the area when the truck hit the cruiser and left the scene.
Also on Sunday, a hydro worker suffered life-threatening injuries from an apparent electrocution, according to a report from Global News.

Emergency crews responded around 10:44 a.m. Sunday to Howick-Turnberry Road between Bok Line and Gilmour Line just east of Wingham.
OPP are investigating the workplace injury. The Ministry of Labour has been notified to assist with the investigation.
