3M has introduced the 6500 Quick Latch Rugged Comfort Reusable Respirator. The 6500 series delivers comfort, durability and stability with a firm, lightly textured silicone face seal and strong body construction. The quick latch drop-down mechanism allows for an easy on and off as workers move in and out of contaminated areas. They do not need to remove their hard hats or face shields when lowering or raising the respirator. It offers optimum fit and comfort with a head cradle that is adjustable to three sizes. The low-profile design allows for simplified cleaning and maintenance with fewer parts and crevices. The advanced half facepiece design offers a wide field of view. The product is compatible with welding/grinding shields, says 3M. The cool flow valve provides enhanced comfort by reducing heat and moisture and a unique valve design makes breathing easier. The silicone face seal provides comfort and stability with a soft but firm face seal. The product life is extended due to resilient silicone material.
