Abitibi II made for heavy-duty outdoor work
A new work boot is hitting shelves in Canada just in time for winter. KEEN Utility has released the CSA Abitibi II work boot which the company says introduces a heavy-duty platform updated with modern, lightweight features for all-day support.
KEEN Utility says it is designed for long days, uneven terrains, and the most punishing conditions. It is waterproof and has a breathable membrane along with an ESR-rated oil and slip resistant rubber outsole. It also includes asymmetrical carbon-fibre toes that are 15% lighter than steel and a KonnectFit heel retention system to keep your feet snug while feeling light.
It is made using full-grain waterproof leather along with a mesh and moisture-wicking textile lining. It also comes with removable, dual-density PolyAer PU footbed with an aerated pillow-top cushion.
This boot provides a secondary source of protection if the outsole contacts live electrical circuits, helping to reduce the potential for electrical shock.
Maintaining the quality and comfort of the Abitibi II is simple. Simply, brush the leather gently using a soft bristle brush or hand towel to remove loose dirt and debris. A leather cleaner may be needed for tougher stains.
