Energizer's new Intrinsically Safe LED headlight, model MSHD31, provides a dependable hands-free lighting solution for tough job conditions. It is Class I, Division I rated and now approved by the Mine Safety and Health Administration as well as other global agencies for intrinsically safe lights, making it ideal for work in harsh conditions and tight spaces, the company said. The versatile headlight features four light modes: high and low white beams for a variety of applications, red for night vision, and green for inspection work. The 66-lumen headlight pivots to direct the beam where it is needed, and also features a flip-up lens that diffuses spot to area light. Designed for user comfort, the Energizer headlight’s rear-mounted battery pack evenly distributes weight. The adjustable headband stays comfortably in place whether worn on a head or over a hat, with the option to remove the top strap. The shatter-proof lens and impact-resistant construction ensure the MSHD31 will withstand a rough environment. The product’s impact resistance was measured with a drop test from two meters onto concrete. The new Energizer MSHD31 headlight comes in black and safety orange, and offers a run time of 20 hours on three AA batteries.
