Chemical-resistant glove now comes with enhanced features
Midas Safety has announced the launch of its Filapro Chem Nitrile gauntlet, a chemical-resistant glove designed for use in demanding industries such as chemicals, automotive, and life sciences. The gauntlet incorporates a polyester non-woven liner that is lighter and more flexible than traditional cotton alternatives.
The product is certified to Cat III, EN374-1:2016 Type A standards and features extensive chemical permeation datasets to aid in product selection. It comes in two surface textures, crumb and wave, to optimize grip across wet, dry, and oily conditions. Laboratory and wear trials in Europe demonstrated its durability and effectiveness in abrasion and grip tests.
Additionally, the Filapro Chem gauntlet offers environmental benefits, with a reported 16% reduction in cradle-to-grave CO2 emissions compared to cotton-lined alternatives. The product is also designed to minimize dermatological issues and has received Dermatest certification for skin safety.
