The Multi Gas Clip gas detector from Gas Clip Technologies can last two months on one charge, even without ever being turned off. If the unit is shut down nightly, the battery can last up to four months. It measures lower explosive limit, hydrogen sulphide, carbon monoxide and oxygen levels. The secret of the extended battery life is that it uses low-power photo-metric technology for the detection of the combustible gases. Instead of draining the battery with pellistor technology, the Multi Gas Clip uses an IR source. The Multi Gas Clip also can go six months without being calibrated. The gas detector will work in inert environments, no need for oxygen.
