Kee Safety’s new KeeLine Overhead Lifeline Systems provide fall protection and support for one or two workers at elevated heights during construction and maintenance. The new KeeLine Overhead personal protection equipment system mounts directly above the user for overhead applications including vehicle loading, machine and equipment access, building cleaning and maintenance, and overhead crane access. The system is comprised of 8mm (5/16”) thick 316 stainless steel wire and durable, low-maintenance electro-polished brackets with two permanently attached wheeled travellers. The brackets are installed into a suitable structure, including steel or concrete, and allow the wheeled traveller to run smoothly over those placed immediately along the wire. The travel line can be configured to allow single or multiple spans of up to nearly 24 metres (78 feet) between supports for use by one or two workers, according to Kee Safety. The system also incorporates the patented KeeLine shock absorbers, which limit the end loads to the structure, and KeeLine self-retracting lifelines, which lock and minimize the impact in the event of a fall. The company said its KeeLine Overhead is independently tested to conform to CSA 13-04 and 16-04, and EN795 Class C, as well as OSHA 1915.159, 126.502M, ANSI Z359.1 2007 and AS/NZS 1891.2. www.keesafety.ca.
