Dräger X-plore 8000 hoods are an integral part of Dräger X-plore 8000 powered air-purifying respirator systems for work requiring the use of ambient air, and Dräger X-plore 9300 compressed air line system for working with an independent air supply. They provide lightweight, comfortable respiratory protection combined with high protection for loose-fitting headpieces.
The system consists of either an X-plore 8500 or 8700 powered air-purifying respirator for applications dependent on the ambient air or the X-plore 9300 compressed air line system for working with an independent air supply. Both are combined with a headpiece such as an X-plore 8000 helmet, visor, hood or X-plore mask (X-plore 9300: only for loose-fitting headpieces).

Dräger X-plore 8000 hood series offers a high level of safety. Along with the X-plore 8500/8700 Powered Air-Purifying Respirator, they fulfil the requirements of the TH3 protection class. In combination with the X-plore 9300 compressed air line system, they are rated device class 3B.
