Satisfaction levels in 2023 mirrors peak from four years ago
Employers in Prince Edward Island have continued to express a high degree of satisfaction with the services and programs provided by Workers Compensation Board (WCB).
This is according to the WCB’s latest survey, which found that 85% of employers are either completely or mostly satisfied with their overall experience with the board, mirroring the peak satisfaction levels reported four years ago.
It also found that 91% of employers believe the WCB operates fairly and 88% are satisfied with the board’s online services.
“We are very pleased to see that employers continue to report high levels of satisfaction with the service provided by WCB team members,” said CEO Daniel Campbell. “Our team members are the very foundation of this continued trend of excellence. Our people are the key to the work that we do, and these results highlight their client-centred focus.”
The WCB serves over 6,600 employers and more than 84,000 workers across PEI. It has been conducting surveys on stakeholder satisfaction since 2003. These regular surveys are done every two years.
In its 2023 survey, the WCB commissioned Narrative Research to seek feedback from 500 employers.
Findings indicated an increase in the performance index, which is a composite measure reflecting employers’ overall experience with the WCB. This index had risen to 84.2, jumping 10.2 points since the initial survey in 2003.
“The board of directors is pleased to see the continued trend of satisfaction among the employers we serve,” said Jim MacPhee, chair of the WCB. “As the Island’s population grows, so too does the number of employers, which in turn grows our client base.”
“As we move into implementing our 2024-26 strategic plan, we will continue to adapt to meet our client’s needs and expectations and foster an empowering and inclusive environment where our team members can thrive,” MacPhee added.
