Grant program accepting proposals for 'highly practical' initiatives
The 2017 application process for Ontario’s Workplace Safety and Insurance Board's (WSIB) grants program opened yesterday. Through the program, the WSIB invites proposals for highly practical expert research studies and training initiatives to achieve better return-to-work and recovery outcomes for injured and ill workers, and to deliver innovations in service within Ontario's workplace compensation system.
"As a leading workplace compensation board, we are committed to providing the best possible outcomes for injured and ill workers and for delivering an overall positive experience for workers and employers," said WSIB president and CEO Thomas Teahen. "We received an outstanding response to the program last year in terms of volume and quality of applications. We expect this year's program to once again attract significant interest from experts in this field."
