Agreement introduces advanced PAPR technology in North America
MSA Safety Inc. (NYSE: MSA), a global provider of safety solutions, has entered into a partnership with optrel Inc., an innovator in welding safety. This collaboration makes MSA Safety the exclusive distributor for optrel Powered Air Purifying Respirators (PAPRs) in North America. The partnership marks the introduction of the new optrel Helix Pure Air PAPR and the Clearmaxx PAPR to the North American respiratory protection market.
These PAPRs incorporate an advanced motor blower that filters contaminants from the air, providing purified air to the user's headgear. The Helix Pure Air and Clearmaxx models, designed for welding, grinding, and various industrial applications, emphasize user comfort and performance. Key features include:
- Optical Clarity: Industry-leading lenses with Shadetronic® and Fadetronic auto darkening filter (ADF) technology ensure clarity and a wide field of view.
- Advanced Airflow Technology: Both automatic and manual airflow adjustments provide a comfortable breathing experience during prolonged use.

The optrel Helix Pure Air and Clearmaxx PAPRs will be available through MSA Safety’s authorized distributor network starting August 2024.
