Man in life-threatening condition following incident at construction site
Ontario’s Ministry of Labour has sent an inspector to a construction site in Mississauga, Ontario after a worker fell into a pit according to police.
In a statement to Canadian Occupational Safety, the ministry says, “it was reported that a worker was injured due to a fall from heights.”
Paramedics tell local news outlet CP24, the man’s injuries are critical, and he is in life-threatening condition.
It happened Monday morning around 8:30 a.m. in the Dundas Street and Novar Road area near Confederation Parkway.
The ministry has taken over the investigation and says, “as the ministry’s investigation is ongoing, we cannot comment further at this time.”
