Carhartt’s Flame-Resistant Extremes Arctic Parka is available as of July 2014. The 9-oz FR canvas (88 per cent cotton and 12 per cent high-tenacity nylon with wind shield technology) is fully insulated with 3M Thinsulate. It features a unique Sherpa-lined interior back panel for increased warmth, Nomex FR inside-waist adjustable draw cord to keep weather out, and a deep adjustable snorkel hood with a removable inherent FR scruff. The left shoulder has a utility band for a mic clip, and the left chest pocket has a radio integration pass-through slot to allow the mic cord to pass through the pocket into the interior of the garment. The parka boasts four generous interior pockets, two upper and two lower, and an interior pocket includes an ID patch. The parka has a two-inch yellow/silver/yellow-contrasting stripe with 3M Scotchlite reflective trim around the torso and sleeves with X-pattern on back. The garment meets the performance requirements of NFPA 70E standards. www.carhartt.com
