Why the Davenport might be perfect for winter projects
The medium-duty Davenport is a CSA-certified work boot from KEEN Utility that offers 200g of insulation and a waterproof membrane to keep feet warm and dry in the most extreme conditions.
KEEN says this performance work boot is built to take on the elements. With a composite-toe safety feature, lightweight insulation, and waterproof protection, it keeps you in all-day comfort no matter the conditions, according to the company.
Some of the other features include 100% non-metallic construction, puncture-resistant midsole plate, and Cleansport NXT™ for natural odor control. It is made from waterproof leather, an oil and slip-resistant non-marking rubber outsole, a moisture-wicking textile lining and a removable EVA footbed.
The company says the puncture resistant plate helps reduce the possibility of injury caused by sharp objects that can penetrate the bottom of a boot. KEEN Utility uses a non-metallic, woven midsole plate that meets ASTM and CSA standards.
The company says the signature insulation is extremely compressible and light for the foot warmth it provides, and it retains its insulating ability, even when damp. Meanwhile, the metatomical footbed design is an internal support mechanism that KEEN says has been anatomically engineered to provide excellent arch support and cradle the natural contours of the foot.
