No form of fall protection in place
Royalcastle Constructions has been fined $10,000 by WorkSafeBC.
This firm was framing a new two-storey house in Surrey, B.C. WorkSafeBC observed several workers on the second level, working on unguarded balconies and next to unguarded openings.
None of the workers was using a personal fall protection system and no other form of fall protection was in place, exposing them to a fall risk of about 3.7 metres.
The firm failed to ensure fall protection was used, a repeated and high-risk violation.
