Mammoet says it has world's strongest land-based crane

Mammoet, a leader in heavy lifting and transport, has unveiled the SK6000, the world's most powerful land-based crane with a capacity of 6,000 tonnes. The SK6000 is set to revolutionize construction in the energy sector, enabling faster and more cost-effective building by lifting larger components simultaneously.

The crane's capacity to lift 3,000 tonnes to a height of 220 meters makes it ideal for offshore wind farms, addressing supply chain challenges and expediting project completion. It also supports oil, gas, and nuclear projects with modular construction methods, reducing timelines and increasing efficiency.

Designed with 4,200 tonnes of ballast and capable of full electric power, the SK6000 reduces the carbon footprint of projects. Currently undergoing testing in the Netherlands, it will be deployed to its first project later this year.
